Touch the desired item on the screen with the stylus and move along the surface of the screen called "Drag". Just as "drag" the mouse on your computer, use the stylus to "drag" scrollbar for scrolling or "drag" characters to the mark.You can save a backup copy of the data or applications that are currently on your CLIE handheld media "Memory Stick". For details, see the "backing up data and applications on Memory Stick media using backup Memory Stick"Do not remove your CLIE handling from the cradle until the HotSync operation. Also, insert, or remove the Memory Stick or CF card while teh HotSync operation. Otherwise, the desktop software CLIE Plam may not finish normally.
Device nameYou can enter a name for your CLIE handheld. For each specified handheld CLIE requires a device name. You can display the Setup window called tapping the square box.
Disable the cache device namesAnother compatible Bluetooth device to detect whether or not the device name that is registered on your CLIE handheld. Discovery will be slower, but you'll see the most recent device names.
Choosing a regional default
To select the area where you can use your CLIE handheld PC, the display format of the time, date, week start day and figures adapted to regional default. For example, in the United Kingdom, often expressed using a 24-hour clock, in the United States, time is expressed using a 12-hour clock with a suffix am or pm.
The regional default setting applies to all formats your CLIE handheld applications. However, you can customize your own settings for each unit, time or date.
