Genius ColorPage-vivid scanner 1200X user's manual
This user guide provides instructions and illustrations on how to install and use your scanner. This manual assumes the user is familiar with Microsoft Windows XP/Me/2000/98. If this is not the case, we recommend that you learn more about Microsoft Windows by referring to your guide to Microsoft Windows before using your scanner. This scanner has an automatic mechanism to hold the head of the scanning spot during transport. When clicked the lock key (located on the underside of the scanner), it automatically unlocks the scanning head; When they are pressed, it automatically blocks the scan head again. Always Place your scanner on the flat and smooth surface before setting the scanner or any task from the scan.
If the USB components on your computer are functioning correctly, they will automatically detect the scanner Wizard the add new hardware "or" find new Hardware Wizard "starts.
Install a scanner after upgrading Windows XP
If you plan to upgrade the operating system from Windows 98 or me to Windows XP after you installed the scanner software, follow the instructions below:
Turn off the AC power adapter from the electrical outlet. Unplug the scanner USB cable at the rear of the computer from the Windows Start menu, click "programs" and then "COLORPAGE-XXXX (name your scanner model). From the pop-up menu that opens, click "Uninstall Genius scanner". Follow the on-screen instructions to remove all the scanner software.If an image appears on the screen, your scanner is working properly. If the image does not appear to your liking, you may need to adjust some settings in the genius TWAIN. To learn how to change the settings of the scanner, refer to the genius, click the AssistButton in the genius TWAIN.
